Mardi Gras

Get ready for one of the most vibrant, exciting and vivacious events of the year! Mardi Gras – Proud in the Park offers everything you could dream of after 18 months of staring at your living room walls. With two stages, fairground rides, a craft tent, food and drinks, every minute is accounted for as you enjoy this amazing celebration of music and inclusivity. And even better, LDC is getting stuck in: our DJ’s Wes and Leanne are hosting the day from Stage Two, as well as broadcasting the day’s events live, so even those who can’t attend can still be part of the party. With music and live entertainment, including performances from RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Baga Chipz and Blue Hydrangea, this is one event you absolutely don’t want to miss.

Leeds Fest

You can’t make a list of Leeds party events without mentioning one of the most famous going – Leeds Fest. This year’s line-up offers plenty of huge acts, including: Stormzy, Biffy Clyro, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Yungblood, Post Malone and Machine Gun Kelly. There’s no better place to get out of your lockdown music slump than one of the country’s most famous festivals. Come rain or shine, we will be out and soaking up the magic of live performances.

Waterfront Festival

This year our DJ’s will be onstage at The Brewers Wharf Waterfront Festival, offering musical entertainment for those enjoying the day’s food and drinks. The festival’s aim is to celebrate the city’s waterfront location, but also shines a light on local independent businesses and create a sense of camaraderie in our community, something LDC Radio is very passionate about. We’re delighted to be a part of this great occasion, with DJ Alex Simmonds a headlining artist as he performs with singer, Lauren G, to bring you music from their lockdown album. Other LDC DJ’s joining the event are Wes Stakes and Gina Moretti, so don’t miss the opportunity to see them in action on 21st August!

Garden Party

Just a five-minute walk from Leeds station, this weekend marks one of the staple Leeds clubbing events of the year – Leeds Garden Party. Beginning in 2005, this event offers partiers the opportunity to listen to their favourite bands and discover new music as they enjoy the summer sun. Awash with food and drinks (both alcoholic and not), attendees can while away the day catching up with friends and soaking in the festival’s dynamic atmosphere. Not to mention the ultimate reveller’s afterparty, hosted at Wire and The Warehouse where special guests will create up a night fit to compensate for 18 months of lockdowns.

1990 revisited

Step back in time to a decade of rave revolution as we get involved in 1990 Revisited, hosted by Warehouse. Club music became so popular in this era that tracks often made it into the top 40 without any support from major radio stations including the BBC. So, get out your glow sticks and whistles and prepare yourself for a night of club anthems as two of our DJ’s help you rave the night away.
