The Journey Radio Show

Hosted By Andy 'Napster' Nappey

During lockdown I started to listen to LDC Radio and found its sound from various presenters very welcoming and organic, believe it or not, even back then my partner Julia said “you’ve gotta get on there!!!” And sure enough here I am bringing you my show “The Journey” as it is truly going to be a journey through the kinds of dance music that make me tick. After all surely […]

Born 03 08 1976 in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, UK and raised in neighboring Leeds

by parents with sister. Moved to London For 7 years when I was 20 then returned back to Leeds.

I’ve loved music ever since I was a little kid (even smaller than I am now!) listening to Motown on Radio Aire, As my mum was making Sunday dinner in the kitchen.

I’ve been mixing music firstly using vinyl since I was 16 playing deep soulful house!!!  Now I play more chunky music following the techno and trance vibe. I occasionally dabble in tribal and pumping house and still love the flavors of soulful house. When I lived in London I played at various bars and clubs including Bagleys ….. where I warmed up for a certain mad hatter called Lisa Lashes.

Since the beginning of lockdown 2019 I got involved with Set For Love which is a charity launched by the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Foundation involving DJ’s from all genres and all abilities from bedroom to professional playing online to raise funds. It was through this I became involved with www.yoradio.co.uk, www.brofefm.co.uk www.basementFM.com  and  www.Revolutionofdance.co.uk . Whist the Revolution of Dance radio station may have ceased I’m still considered a resident for their ANARCHY events.

It was also during lockdown I started to listen to LDC Radio and found its sound from various presenters very welcoming and organic, believe it or not, even back then my partner Julia said “you’ve gotta get on there!!!” And sure enough here I am bringing you my show “The Journey” as it is truly going to be a journey through the kinds of dance music that make me tick.

After all surely that is a DJ’s job …. To take clubbers on a journey.
