DJMT is a Leeds based DJ specialising in Old School House & Garage and House & Bass.
A young DJMT was influenced by a little club in Chapeltown Leeds, called Sonny’s back in the early 90’s. At this stage in his life, he wasn’t a DJ but his love for House & Garage music grew more and more, as did his interest in the art of DJ’ing.
Having become friends with the DJ duo, Everlast & Fudd, and going to Casaloco in Leeds with them on a weekly basis, he bought his first set of decks. He soon realised that he needed a proper set in order to play in the clubs so saved up to buy a pair of Technics 1210’s, the industry standard of turntables which he still owns to this day! With the influx of some of the new London UKG making its way up north, the path was set and landed himself some pretty big gigs within the UKG scene. He moved with the times and transitioned to digital DJ equipment and some of the new digital sounds but still loves to play his vinyl from time to time!
