Growing up, I was surrounded by art and creativity. My dad being a musician and my parents overall love of music shaped the appreciation I have for all genres and styles of music. While everyone else my age was coming home from school and making slime or watching YouTube, I was bingeing David Bowie’s Top of the Pops compilation. I’ve always had a reverence for storytelling and poetry, which music has always seemed to me to be a form of. I’m so excited to meet new and upcoming bands and to share it on ‘Heard it Here First’ with our listeners! My love for storytelling manifested into something else: ghost stories and myths. Me and my sister have always enjoyed sharing spooky stories to scare each other and we are now so excited to share them on the show too !

Im Sophia, I’m 27 years old and have always been drawn to two things: great music and the unexplained. I grew up surrounded by family vinyls and ghost stories, which sparked a lifelong love of discovering new bands and exploring all things spooky and paranormal. I love hearing people’s stories and connecting with others through shared experiences and curiosities. Getting to co-host Heard It Here First with my sister is a dream creative outlet, and I’m so excited to share our conversations, favorite finds, and a little bit of mystery with everyone tuning in.
