Star of hit youtube channel Rate My Takeaway and his wife-to-be who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, are set to start their own radio show.
Rate My Takeaway’s Danny Malin and Sophie Mei Lan have started recording their first radio show together Mr and Mrs Yorkshire.
The couple who met in 2022 are due to get married in June 2023 as well as have a baby in September 2023, and will feature every Sunday on LDC Radio.
Danny, 43, said: “I have a show on Tuesday afternoons already which is where I interviewed Sophie before we started dating. So now to have a show together is a real honour as it’s where it all started for us.”
The pair will Find out what’s on in Yorkshire, where to eat, go and meet Yorkshire folk as well as share your views on the latest news.
Sophie, 35, who works as a Journalist and Youtuber, said: “We both connected over a shared love of Yorkshire, family, and helping people to get active and experience the best of life.
“We can’t wait for our radio show together and we wanted it to be on a successful community-focused station.”
The pair will be filming clips too for their Mr and Mrs Yorkshire youtube channel while recording the show.

His wife-to-be Sophie Mei Lan shot to fame bellydancing on Britains Got Talent after spending her youth as an amateur dancer, presenter, and professional actress. She has since presented documentaries for Channel 4 and ITV as well as writing columns for national newspapers and magazines.
She now works as a journalist for Yorkshire Post-as well as running her own YouTube channel Sophie’s World with 24 million views and her social media content has reached over 2 billion people worldwide. She also has a large following on her mental health, fitness and wellbeing channels.
Together they make up Mr and Mrs Yorkshire as they take their family, love, and laughter on a journey across God’s Own County and beyond. Exploring the best food, experiences, hotels, spas, gyms, and meeting other Yorkshire folk.
