Our Story

LDC Radio, short for Leeds Dance Community Radio, is a community radio station for the dance music community in Leeds. It broadcasts on 97.8 FM under an Ofcom community radio licence (opens in a new tab) for the City of Leeds, and is also on DAB in Leeds & Bradford, online, on the LDC Radio app and on Alexa.

The station is on air 24 hours a day, with shows from its DJs and presenters playing house, UK garage, bassline, techno, hard house, trance, tech house and drum & bass, and non-stop music when no presenter is on air. Missed a show? Recordings are in Mixes, and the events page lists club nights and events.

Anyone in the community can apply to present a show, and new and emerging DJs can apply for LDC Introducing: find out how to get involved. Questions? See the FAQ.
