Our Story
LDC Radio is a dance music radio station for West Yorkshire, broadcasting DAB in Leeds & Bradford and on 97.8FM across West Yorkshire.
How it started
“I, and a passionate group of dance and radio enthusiasts, applied to Ofcom for an FM broadcast licence. In May 2018 we were awarded a licence… And so begins LDC Radio – a new chapter in the Leeds music scene.”
Community radio
Public file- A community station for the dance music community, on air 24 hours a day.
- Anyone in the community can apply to present a show: fill in the DJ application form and send a demo. New and emerging DJs can apply for LDC Introducing, and we offer presenters training.
- When no presenter is on air, including weekday nights, we play non-stop music automatically. Some shows are pre-recorded and some may be repeated.
- A music-led station: news bulletins are not one of our Key Commitments.
- We often work with the community to help promote events and local charities.
- On 97.8 FM (licensed for the City of Leeds and heard more widely across West Yorkshire), on DAB in Leeds & Bradford, online, on the app and on Alexa.
