Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to listen, find their shows and get in touch. This is what the site does to help, and where it still falls short.
What this site does
- Keyboard. The site is built from standard links, buttons and form fields so it can be used with a keyboard. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing you reach, and on small screens the menu keeps focus inside it while it is open, closes with the Escape key and returns focus to the menu button.
- Visible focus. Whatever has keyboard focus is outlined in orange.
- Higher contrast. Some small grey labels in our design are close to the minimum contrast. The “High contrast” button in the footer lifts them to a lighter grey on every page, and your browser remembers the choice.
- Reduced motion. The only animation, the waveform that moves while the live stream plays, stays still if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Structure. Each page has one main heading with sections below it, landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer, and text labels on icon-only links such as our social media icons.
- Images. Decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers so it does not interrupt the page.
- Small screens. At 700 pixels wide or less the site switches to a single-column layout.
Known limitations
- On a wide screen the page is scaled to fit the window, so zooming in makes text larger only once the window is narrow enough for the single-column layout. You can still zoom further from there.
- Most photos of presenters, shows and events do not yet have text descriptions; the name or title next to each photo is given as text.
- Some show and mix players come from Mixcloud, SoundCloud and YouTube and are embedded from those services. We do not control how accessible those players are. If one does not work for you, tell us and we will help you find the show another way.
- The site has not yet been independently audited against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

If you are not happy with our reply
Under the Equality Act 2010 we must make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people can use our services. If you contact us about a problem and are not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for free advice. The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing equality law in England, Scotland and Wales.
About this statement
We prepared this statement on 17 September 2026 by checking how the site is built. It has not been independently audited, and we have not tested every page with every assistive technology. We will review it at least once a year, and whenever we make a significant change to the site.
