Our work

Websites and systems we’ve built.

Four public websites, each doing a very different job, and three systems that run real businesses from behind a sign-in. Open the websites and look around. The systems hold private data, so we show them with sample data, or by their sign-in screen, and tell you what runs inside. Last comes a concept design for a site we’re building now.

Planning Insights

planninginsights.co.uk

The job the site does
Planning Insights sells subscriptions to UK planning application data. Its website has to explain a technical offer to developers, planning consultants, suppliers and homeowners, appear when people search for things like ‘planning applications near me’, and turn visits into sign-ups and enquiries.
What we built
A WordPress and WooCommerce website built with Elementor. A hero slider, a ‘how it works’ section and a three-tier pricing table explain the offer. Subscription checkout and customer accounts are built in. An enquiry form on the homepage asks which service the enquiry is about, so every lead arrives already sorted. Separate pages cover UK Planning Data, View Planning Applications UK and an Affiliate Program, alongside About, FAQs, Pricing and Contact. On a phone, a sticky bar keeps search, account and basket in reach.
How it’s built to be found
Each key page has its own title and description, written around real searches such as ‘view planning applications’ and ‘UK planning data’. A long landing page answers the question with a how-to section and FAQs. The site has XML sitemaps, canonical tags, structured data for the organisation, website search and breadcrumbs, social sharing tags and Google Search Console verification.
What you can see today
Three service pages, a published pricing table, working subscription checkout and account pages, and an enquiry form that sorts leads by service.

Chimney sweeping and servicing, Yorkshire · WordPress · Elementor

CY Sweeps and Service

yorkshirechimneysweep.co.uk

The job the site does
A chimney sweep lives on local work. CY Sweeps and Service needs homeowners across Yorkshire, from Leeds and Wetherby to York, Harrogate and Sheffield, to find them when they search for a sweep, see which fireplaces and stoves they cover, and get in touch without hunting for a number.
What we built
A WordPress website built with Elementor, with a dark, fireside design. The phone number is click-to-call in the hero, in a ‘Get a quote today’ block and in the footer, and there is an enquiry form on the homepage and the contact page. Separate pages cover wood-burning stoves, modern fires and chimneys, classic fireplaces and Victorian or Georgian fireplaces. The site also has an FAQ, testimonials, an About page and a note on the NACS certificate customers receive after a sweep. On a phone the menu folds away so the number is quick to reach.
How it’s built to be found
Inner page titles (FAQ, About, Contact and most fireplace and stove pages) and headings are written around chimney care in Yorkshire, and descriptions and body copy name the towns covered. Each fireplace and stove type has its own page. There is an XML sitemap, canonical tags, sharing tags and structured data describing the business and website, and the FAQ answers the questions people search for.
What you can see today
A page for each fireplace and stove type, a services index, FAQ, testimonials and contact pages, and one-tap calling from any page on desktop or mobile.

Civil and structural engineering, Yorkshire · Custom Next.js build

Paddick Engineering

paddick.online

The job the site does
A civil and structural engineering practice needs homeowners, developers and businesses to find it when they search for structural calculations, surveys or drainage design in their town, understand which service they need, and send a quote request an engineer can act on.
What we built
A custom Next.js website with a page for each of 19 engineering services, 7 project write-ups laid out as requirement, challenge, solution and outcome, a library of 18 plain-English guides in 5 topic hubs, and a free drainage falls calculator. Enquiries go through a structured Get a Quote form that asks for the service, contact details, site postcode and a project description. Click-to-call runs across the site, and a Client Login button links to the firm’s own portal.
How it’s built to be found
Keyword-led titles and descriptions, and town pages for Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Harrogate, each with local FAQs, nearby areas and recent work in that town. Structured data runs on every page: the practice with its opening hours and areas served, plus service, FAQ and breadcrumb markup. Service, area, project and guide pages link to each other, and there is an XML sitemap and full sharing tags.
What you can see today
67 pages in its sitemap (September 2026): 19 service pages, 5 town pages, 7 project write-ups, 18 guides and a working calculator, with one quote form that gives an engineer the details they need.

Community radio station, Leeds (97.8 FM, DAB, online) · Custom Next.js build, fed by LDC One

LDC Radio

ldcradio.co.uk

The job the site does
A radio station needs listeners to find it and press play, on FM, DAB and online, and needs its shows, DJs, mixes and local events to be easy to find. The schedule, presenters and events change every week, so the website has to keep itself current. The old WordPress site had years of links pointing at it, and those had to keep working.
What we built
A new Next.js website that takes its content live from LDC One, the station’s own management system. Every page carries the live player and an ‘on air now, up next’ strip. There are pages for the schedule, every show and DJ, hundreds of listen-again mixes, genre charts, local dance events, local news and Yorkshire guides, with site search across all of it. Advertising, DJ hire, a newsletter sign-up and a ‘Message the studio’ button are built in, and on a phone the layout rearranges itself rather than shrinking.
How it’s built to be found
More than a thousand pages in its XML sitemap, and structured data describing the station, its 97.8 FM frequency, shows, episodes, DJs, mixes, events and FAQs. Canonical tags and full sharing tags run on every page. When the site moved off WordPress, hundreds of old addresses, many recovered from the Wayback Machine, were redirected to their new pages, and retired sections are marked as gone.
What you can see today
You’re on it. Listen live from any page, see what’s on now and next, and browse the shows, DJs, mixes and events. It updates itself from the station’s own system.

LDC One

app.ldcmusic.co.uk

The job the system does
A community radio station changes every week: shows move, presenters join, DJs pay for their slots and messages arrive all day. LDC Radio needed one place to run all of that, instead of copying the same details between spreadsheets, email, the accounts and the website.
What we built
LDC One, the station’s own operations platform. The show schedule syncs every hour from StationRecord. New presenters move through onboarding in stages, and the website profiles they write wait for a director’s approval before going live. DJ subscriptions are collected by Direct Debit through GoCardless and kept in step with Xero. A shared inbox reads the station’s Microsoft 365 mail and drafts replies, and enquiry forms on the website are filed straight into it.
How it connects
A content API feeds ldcradio.co.uk live, so the schedule, shows, DJs and events on the public site come from the same records the team works in. Scheduled jobs bring in local events, news and Yorkshire guides, and listener figures are gathered in the same place. Behind the scenes it talks to StationRecord, GoCardless, Xero and Microsoft 365.
What it runs today
The station’s schedule, presenters, subscriptions, inbox and website content, all from one sign-in. You can’t log in, but you can see its work: every show, DJ and event page on this website comes from LDC One.

Operations platform for an engineering firm · Custom Next.js web app · Android app

Paddick One

portal.paddick.online

The job the system does
An engineering and surveying practice has a lot moving at once: enquiries coming in, quotes going out, surveys to book, jobs to deliver and invoices to follow up. Paddick needed the whole office working from one picture of every client and job, with clients kept informed along the way.
What we built
Paddick One, the firm’s own operations platform. A CRM holds clients, deals and quotes, and work-in-progress tracking follows each job through to completion. Surveys are scheduled from it, and a client journey sends notifications as a job moves forward. Staff chat links the office and the surveyors, who have their own Android app for the day’s work. Lead generation, enquiry attribution and a daily activity overview show where work comes from and what happened in the office.
How it connects
Xero stays the record for money: invoices and their status sync in from the firm’s accounts rather than being typed twice. Staff sign in with their Microsoft work accounts, and the Android app works from the same records as the office, so a job looks the same at a desk and on site. The public website, paddick.online, which we also built, links to the sign-in.
What it runs today
The firm’s enquiries, quotes, jobs, survey bookings, client updates and invoice status, in one system: in the browser at the office and on Android out on site.

Radio recording and scheduling platform · Web platform with a schedule API

StationRecord

stationrecord.co.uk

The job the system does
A station on air around the clock needs every show recorded, and one schedule that says what is on and when. Everything else, from the station’s own system to the website and listen-again, should read that schedule rather than keep its own copy.
What we built
StationRecord, a broadcast recording and scheduling platform built by Darren Gibbons, one of LDC’s directors. It holds the station’s show schedule and records the shows as they go out. Its sign-in page asks you to “Sign in to your station”, and its API is organised by client ID, one per station: it is built to serve more than one station.
How it connects
LDC One reads the schedule from StationRecord’s API every hour, and from there it reaches the schedule pages on ldcradio.co.uk. Recordings of LDC Radio’s shows are uploaded to the station’s SoundCloud, each titled with the show name and the date it aired, and those uploads are where this website’s listen-again mixes come from.
What it runs today
LDC Radio’s show schedule and recordings. The schedule on this website starts in StationRecord, and the station’s SoundCloud page carries the recorded shows.

Local garage concept design

The brief
A local garage lives on drivers finding it, trusting it and booking quickly. The new site has to put an MOT or service booking one tap away, show the work the garage does, and make the address, phone number and opening hours easy to find.
The concept
A bold, dark design led by a full-width hero with the MOT and service booking button up front. Below it come trust points, a services grid (MOT testing, servicing, diagnostics, welding, brakes and suspension, tyres), a Class 4 and Class 7 MOT band, a find-us map with opening hours and directions, and a closing call to book. On a phone the number will be click-to-call.
Status
Designed by LDC and now being built. This is the homepage concept the build works from; the site is not live yet.
