Advertising in Leeds: radio, digital, outdoor and TV, planned as one campaign
LDC is an advertising agency in Leeds with something most agencies don’t have: our own radio station. We plan campaigns across radio, digital, outdoor and targeted TV for local businesses, then build the web page and the tracking every advert points to, so the attention you pay for has somewhere to land and each enquiry can be traced back to where it came from.
Tell us the goal, the area and a rough budget, and we’ll suggest the mix that fits. Phone 07540725926, or send the details. Already sure radio is right for you? Audience figures and the full offer are on our advertise page, and we’ll quote for the campaign you describe.
The right channel depends on who you need to reach, where they are and how quickly you need them to act. Most local campaigns use two or three, not all four.
Radio and sponsorship
Radio builds familiarity through repetition. People hear your name on the way to work, then again at the weekend, until yours is the one they remember when they need it. LDC broadcasts on 97.8 FM, licensed for the City of Leeds, with DAB in Leeds & Bradford, and listeners also tune in online, on the app and on Alexa.
Beyond adverts, there’s sponsorship of a show or feature and events hosted by our presenters with a live broadcast. The full offer is on the advertise page, and how a local radio campaign works walks through planning one.
Digital advertising
Digital is where you can be precise. Google Ads reaches people searching for what you sell, in the postcodes you choose. Paid social reaches people by area and interest before they start searching. Banner adverts on ldcradio.co.uk are available directly from us, too. Google Ads management in Leeds goes into the detail.
Outdoor and digital screens
Out-of-home advertising is about being seen by everyone who passes, whether or not they’re looking for you. Paper billboards are sold by the companies that own the sites; what we offer is out-of-home digital display across West Yorkshire, planned into a wider campaign. Screens are booked in set periods, so it’s the channel to plan earliest.
Targeted TV and Sky Ads
Targeted services such as Sky Ads can show an advert to chosen households, by area and audience type, instead of to everyone watching a channel. We help businesses explore Sky Ads: whether it suits the goal, what the advert needs to do and how it fits with radio and digital. We’re not a TV broadcaster, so the airtime is Sky’s; our part is the planning and the page viewers land on.
One campaign, not five suppliers
A typical local campaign involves a media seller, a designer, someone to write the radio script, a web developer and whoever looks at the results. Each handover costs time, and the message drifts a little every time it changes hands.
With LDC, one team plans the media, makes the creative, builds the landing page and sets up the tracking. The radio script, the social advert and the outdoor artwork carry the same offer. The page they all point to repeats it, loads quickly on a phone and has a call button and a short form.
That last part is where plenty of campaigns leak. An advert that sends people to a slow homepage, or to a form nobody checks, wastes the money spent getting their attention. Because we design and build websites as well as sell airtime, the destination is part of the plan from the first conversation, not an afterthought.
How a campaign comes together
Whatever the channels, tracking and the landing page are ready before any media money is spent.
1
Enquiry
Call 07540725926 or send the form below. A few lines on what you sell and who buys it is enough to start.
2
Discovery
A short conversation about the goal, the area you serve, the audience you want and any dates that matter.
3
Channel plan and budget options
We come back with a suggested channel mix and budget options, and explain what each part of the plan is there to do.
4
Creative
Scripts, artwork and ad copy are written and designed around one message. Nothing runs until you’ve approved it.
5
Landing page and tracking
We build or fix the page the campaign points to, then set up call and form tracking before anything goes live.
6
Launch
Radio, digital and outdoor start on agreed dates, so each channel backs up the others rather than running at random.
7
Report
We report on what can honestly be measured: clicks, calls and form enquiries, and which page or advert they came through.
8
Plan the next run
We look at what worked, drop what didn’t and plan the next burst of activity with that in hand.
Call us or get a quote
Talk it through with LDC on the phone, or send a few lines and we’ll come back to you with a quote.
Every campaign is priced on what it involves, which is why there’s no price list here. These are the things that move the number up or down.
Channel mix
One channel costs less than three. What matters is which combination fits the goal.
Audience size and targeting
Reaching everyone across a wide area is priced differently from reaching a narrow group of households or searchers in a handful of postcodes.
Length and frequency
Outdoor is booked in fixed cycles, radio by how many plays a day and how many days a week, and digital by how long it runs at what daily budget.
Creative production
A radio advert, artwork for screens and social feeds, or new ad copy each take time to make. Reusing assets you already have keeps this down.
Landing-page work
A page that already turns visitors into enquiries costs nothing extra. A new page, or fixes to a weak one, adds build time.
Tracking and reporting
Call and form tracking is part of doing the job properly. Detailed reporting that compares several channels takes more setting up.
Tell us your budget range and we’ll show you what it can realistically do. The quickest route is a call on 07540725926; the enquiry form works too, and a written quote follows.
How long it takes to launch
It depends on what needs making and what needs booking. If your adverts and landing page already exist, a campaign can start as soon as the media is confirmed. If they don’t, production comes first.
Radio adverts and digital ads are usually the quickest parts to get ready. Outdoor depends on screen availability and booking cycles, so it sets the pace when a date matters. A new landing page adds build time; tidying up an existing one adds less.
Once it’s live, give a campaign long enough to show a pattern before judging it.
What to bring to the first call
Your goal, in one line: calls, bookings, footfall, ticket sales or sign-ups.
The area you serve, and whether some towns or postcodes matter more than others.
A budget range, even a rough one. It saves time on both sides.
Key dates: a launch, an event, a busy season, or a quiet spell you want to fill.
Your logo, colours and past adverts, including the ones that flopped.
Where enquiries go now, who answers them and when the phone is staffed.
Where your advertising would send people
An advert gets attention; the website turns it into a call or an enquiry. These live sites we’ve built aren’t advertising results, but they show the kind of destination a campaign needs.

LDC Radio
Our own site is advertising space too. Banner adverts on ldcradio.co.uk are part of our advertising packages, and the advertising page has its own enquiry form, so a campaign can reach people on air and again when they open the site for the schedule, a mix or this weekend’s events.
A local trade website built for the moment someone decides to call. The number is click-to-call in the opening section, in a ‘Get a quote today’ block and in the footer, and there’s a short enquiry form on the homepage and contact page. On a phone the menu tucks away, leaving the number within easy reach.
A campaign is only as precise as the page it points to. paddick.online has a page for each of its 19 engineering services and a free drainage falls calculator, so an advert about one service, or about a useful tool, can send people to exactly that page instead of a homepage.

Planning Insights
Worth a look if you need to know what each enquiry is about. The homepage form makes visitors pick the service they’re interested in before sending, so leads arrive already labelled. Subscription checkout and customer accounts mean someone ready to buy can sign up without waiting for a reply.
We’re a Leeds company, with our registered office at Mabgate Business Centre in LS9. We work with businesses across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and the rest of West Yorkshire.
Leeds is a busy place to advertise, with lots of businesses chasing the same attention, so a campaign has to be clear about who it’s for and where they are. If your customers are spread further afield, see digital marketing across Yorkshire.
Questions
Advertising Leeds questions
How much does advertising cost in Leeds?
It depends on the channels, how long the campaign runs, how narrowly it targets and how much creative needs making. A few weeks of search ads and a radio run is a very different cost from a season of outdoor and TV. We price the plan rather than publish a rate card for it. Tell us your goal and budget range, and we’ll quote for exactly what’s involved.
Is there a minimum advertising budget?
Tell us your range and we’ll say honestly what it can do. A small budget is usually better spent on one or two channels done properly than spread thinly across five. If what you have is unlikely to get the result you want, we’ll tell you before you spend anything, and suggest what would.
Can I show a TV advert only to Leeds households?
Targeted TV services such as Sky Ads are designed for this: showing an advert to chosen households by area and audience type, rather than to a whole region. We help businesses explore Sky Ads, including whether it suits the goal and how it would sit alongside radio and digital. What’s available, and at what spend, is set by Sky, so we check that for your area and dates.
Can you book outdoor advertising?
Yes, as part of a campaign. We offer out-of-home digital display across West Yorkshire, planned alongside radio and online so the screens, the airwaves and the search results all carry one message. Screens are booked in set periods and the best spots go early, so if outdoor matters for a launch or event, mention your dates in the first conversation.
What’s the best advertising for a small business?
The kind your customers actually see when they might need you. For a local trade that’s often search, because people look for a plumber when the pipe bursts. For a venue, shop or event, radio and outdoor build the awareness that makes people choose you later. Most small businesses are better off starting with one or two channels and a landing page that works, then adding more.
Can you make the adverts as well?
Yes. We can write and produce radio adverts, design artwork for screens, social feeds and print, and write the copy for Google and social campaigns. Keeping the creative with the people planning the media means one message across every channel. If you already have adverts you like, we can adapt them rather than start from scratch.
