Graphic design in Leeds for print, social and on air
LDC offers graphic design in Leeds for the things your customers pick up, scroll past and walk by: flyers, leaflets, signs, van artwork, social posts and ad creative. Each piece is designed for the place it will be seen, and it arrives as files your printer, signmaker or social scheduler can use straight away.
We’re also a Leeds radio station and a web team, so one idea can run on a poster, your feed, your website and on air. Call 07540725926 or tell us what you need.
Most jobs mix print and screen. This is what we make most often, grouped by where it ends up.
Print
Business cards, leaflets, flyers, posters, menus and banners, set up to your printer’s sizes with bleed and safe margins, so nothing important gets trimmed off.
Signs and vehicles
Artwork for shopfront signs, boards and vans, made to your signmaker’s template so it reads from across the road.
Social and digital
Post and story templates, cover and share images and email headers, sized for each platform so nothing gets cropped in the wrong place.
Ad creative
Artwork for paid social, banner adverts and out-of-home digital display across West Yorkshire, designed so the message lands in the moment people give it.
Events
Posters, tickets, countdown posts and screen graphics for launches, club nights and open days, all in one look.
One idea across flyer, feed and radio
A campaign works harder when every piece looks and sounds as if it came from the same place. We start from one idea, a line and a look, and carry it into every format you need.
That might be a leaflet, a run of social posts, a website banner and a radio advert on LDC Radio. The station is on 97.8 FM, licensed for the City of Leeds, on DAB in Leeds & Bradford, and online, on the app and on Alexa, so the line on your poster can be the line listeners hear.
One brief means fewer handovers, and nobody checking three suppliers’ versions against each other. Planning something bigger? See advertising in Leeds.
How a design job runs
1
Brief
Tell us what the piece is for, who will see it, where it will appear and the date you need it by.
2
First concepts
A first design, or a few directions for a larger job, each with a note on why it works.
3
Feedback rounds
You tell us what to change. We agree the number of rounds at the start, so you know where you stand and the job doesn’t drift.
4
Final artwork for each use
The finished design, exported for every place you’ve named, each in the format that place needs.
5
Roll-out
If it helps, we put it to work on your website, your social feeds or alongside a radio advert.
The right file for every job
Good design still fails if the file is wrong: a fuzzy logo on a banner, a flyer with its edges trimmed off, a headline cropped. So each use gets its own format, named so you can find it next year.
A vector master (SVG, EPS or PDF) that scales cleanly from a business card to the side of a van.
Print-ready PDFs in CMYK, with bleed and crop marks, set to the size and specification your printer asks for.
Web files in PNG and SVG, compressed so the pages they sit on still load quickly.
Social images cut to each platform’s shape, from square posts to tall stories and wide cover images.
Artwork that makes itself
Some artwork is needed again and again: a graphic for every event, product or listing. At our own station, show artwork is produced automatically from on-brand templates, so nobody starts from a blank page. We can set up the same for a business that needs a steady stream of consistent graphics.
Call us or get a quote
Talk it through with LDC on the phone, or send a few lines and we’ll come back to you with a quote.
We quote once we know the details. These are the things that move the figure most.
Number and type of items
One flyer is a smaller job than a full set, though a set often works out better value per piece because the thinking is shared.
A new look or existing guidelines
Working to guidelines you already have is quicker than inventing a look. If you have no logo or brand yet, that usually comes first, through branding.
Concepts and rounds
More starting directions and more rounds of changes mean more design time. We agree both before we begin.
Print specifications
Unusual sizes, folds, finishes or several suppliers’ templates add set-up work to each file.
Rush
A tight deadline means moving other work, so flag a fixed date early.
Where it will be used
A graphic for one Instagram post is simpler than artwork that has to hold up on a van, a poster and a campaign page.
Tell us what you need and by when, and a quote follows. You can reach us on 07540725926 or at hello@ldcradio.co.uk.
Turnaround
Turnaround depends on the job and on how quickly the brief and feedback come back. A single item moves faster than a set, and a set that follows existing guidelines moves faster than one that needs a new look.
The usual hold-up is waiting for wording, photos, a printer’s template or a decision, not the design itself. If your date is fixed, tell us at the start and we’ll say honestly whether it’s realistic.
What to send us
You don’t need all of this to start, but the more we have, the sooner the first design lands.
Your logo files, ideally vector (SVG, EPS, AI or PDF), not a screenshot.
Your brand colours and fonts, or any guidelines you already have.
Examples you like, from anyone, and a word on why.
Sizes and specs: the printer’s template, the sign dimensions or the platforms you post on.
The wording, and any photos you want us to use.
Your deadline, and what it’s tied to.
The name of the one person who signs the artwork off.
Design you can see live
These are live sites we’ve built. Open them and see how the layout, artwork and images hold together, on a laptop and on your phone.
Community radio station, Leeds (97.8 FM, DAB, online)
LDC Radio
Look at the LDC logo in the header: there is a light version and a dark version, so it stays crisp on either background. Share a page such as the schedule or a genre page and the preview carries a share image generated for it, with its own headline, made without anyone designing it by hand.
The dark, fireside look on yorkshirechimneysweep.co.uk runs from the top of the page to the footer, and the ‘Get a quote today’ block sits inside that style rather than fighting it. On a small screen the navigation hides behind a single icon, so the look stays uncluttered and calling stays easy.

Planning Insights
Planning Insights has a technical offer to explain, so the design does the explaining: a hero slider with rotating messages, a four-step ‘how it works’ section and a three-tier pricing table laid out for side-by-side comparison. Its pages also carry a share image for when they’re posted on social media.
paddick.online shows what a consistent layout does for a lot of content. Every project write-up follows the same four headings, from the requirement to the outcome, the guides sit in tidy topic hubs, and the drainage falls calculator is designed as a working tool rather than a picture of one.
Can you design print and social graphics together?
Yes, and it usually works out better that way. When one designer makes your flyer, posters and social posts from the same brief, colours, wording and layout stay consistent and the design work is shared. Each piece is still sized for where it’s going.
What files will I get for print?
A print-ready PDF for each item, in CMYK, with bleed and crop marks, set to your printer’s size and specification. You also get the vector master of the artwork, so it can be reused or resized later, plus web versions if the design will appear online. Tell us which printer you use and we’ll work to their template.
Can you work to our existing brand guidelines?
Yes. If you already have guidelines, we follow them: your fonts, colours, logo spacing and tone of voice, which is often quicker than starting fresh. If your logo only exists as a low-quality image, we’ll tell you, and can put that right first through our branding work.
How quickly can you turn round a flyer or a set of social posts?
It depends on how ready the brief is. With your wording, photos and logo files together, and one person to approve the design, a single flyer or a few posts move quickly. Tell us your date when you get in touch and you’ll get an honest answer, not a promise we can’t keep.
Can you make a radio advert to match our artwork?
Yes. LDC is a radio station as well as a design team, so we can help script and produce an advert that uses the same line and offer as your print and social artwork. It can then run on LDC Radio alongside your print and social. See how radio advertising works.
Do you design signage and vehicle graphics?
We design the artwork, and your signmaker produces and fits it. Send us their template or measurements, including any doors, windows or panel lines on a van, and we’ll set the design out to match and supply it in the vector format they ask for. If you haven’t chosen a signmaker yet, ask us and we’ll talk it through.
